Can the DP1310 be used with any laptop that has a USB-C port?

No, your laptop’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode and USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) to get DP1310’s full functionality.

Are MacBook and DP1310 compatible with each other?

Yes, DP1310 are compatible with macOS, Windows, ChromeOS, Ubuntu, or Android platforms. It also applies to MacBooks using M1 or M2 chips. To maximize the compatibility of DP1310, please download the DisplayLink driver.

Does DP1310 support KVM functionality for dual monitor setups?

The USB-C IN port and HDMI 2.1 IN port do not have a KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) function.

Does the DP1310 also support displaying 3 screens when connecting to HDMI 2.1 sources?

No, when switching to HDMI 2.1 IN, only the monitor connected to HDMI 2.1 OUT 1 will switch to that source. The others will remain displaying the contents from USB-C IN.

Does DP1310 support playing HDCP contents (i.e. Netflix or Disney +)

Please note that MacBooks don’t support playing HDCP content through dock with DisplayLink (such as the DP1310). To dealing with this, please turn off DisplayLink Manager while playing content or use HDMI 2.1 IN port to playing the content.
